Austin Acres shots

Well, this past week was quite busy. I was all the way down to the southern tip of Texas, and a good ways out in several different directions. We also ended up briefly in Midland. These pictures below are of Austin Acres, thanks to my employer, who agreed to stop briefly and shoot a few photos. It was quite fun seeing the site I've heard so much about! Only sorry I didn't catch Gary at a better time.

What!? No AAA??? Or were you dropping counter-measures on you ingress, something like deep-fried Twinkies or Moon-Pies to distract the facility's air defenses???

Texans don't generally shoot at their fellow countrymen... without good reason. We only shoot with cameras (though there have been a few times I would've like to do otherwise!). We probably look a bit like a mini AC-130 over the target.

Thanks for taking those pictures, Ryan. Maybe next time, I can be there to let you see me driving around in circles in the forklift or something.

Looks like you are still awfully dry out that way. That low in the Gulf just shifted too far east to help much.

It looks like the nice canned engine is gona be filled with dust and dirt, since its open to the wind.

It also looks like someone is only assuming that the lid for that can being removed is detrimental to the safety and well being of the engine, when it reality it was only removed in order to take a few more pictures and was reinstalled today. Geez.
I'll happily sell it to you so that you can leave it all sealed up and pressurized in that can for years to come. Just bring your truck, trailer, and cash.

Nah.....he was able to collect cool stuff. All I've got is junk that was gonna end up at the scrapper (for the most part).
There is a bit more stuff scattered throughout the property, but Ryan certainly posted pictures of the most interesting stuff.....if you wanna call it that.
