Tue Jul 21, 2009 6:24 pm

I would like to know if there are others that are having some problems with Air Classics/Challenge Publications?

Easy, cancel Air Classic and go with a better mag. like Warbird Digest, Flypast etc.

I must say Jack's O'Leary problem is a bit unusual! Usually Mike is on the other end of threatened lawsuits...

I have to say i loved Air Classics when I was a kid and still have a couple hundred. I don't even look for it on the newstand anymore, I think it sucks. I have not checked lately, maybe I should give them another chance.

If anything was sent in the mail, go to your postal inspector and turn them loose. They like fraud cases....

The Warbird Digest is a high quality product.

I had a phone call from a third party a few months back offering me a substantial discount on my AC subscription renewal. When I asked when my subscription expired, they didn't know. So I went grabbed the latest copy off the heap, looked at the label on the front, and found my subscription still had about 9 months to run. At that point I declined their kind invitation, and hung up.

Same bunch, I wonder? Was your renewal as a result of a phone call, Craig?

Still, it would be interesting to find out how they got hold of the AC suscribers details, though....................

If you guys are looking for a new magazine..although its not all warbirds, our group puts out a new magazine each month and its free!!! We do it for the pilots who fly, entertain and maintain these wonderful aircraft. Its usally aroun 80-90 pages, but we are starting to expand more with more articles and more pilots wanting to help us out! You can either download itin PDF format or view flash style. Take a peak. And let us know what you think.

So let's scratch our heads for a moment to ask, "How did all of this information get out of the barn?" If there is a problem, maybe the cowboy should round up his horses before they run over an innocent bystander. Of course if the bystander gets run over by his horses, let's blame the bystander for not seeing it coming then turn around and charge him for his wounds.

Air Classics

If you think subscribing to Air Classics is a crappy deal, you should try writing for them!

this is a scam that affects countless publications, from air classics to good house keeping magazine. 3rd party sleeze bags get your subscription info & try to dupe you to extend or renew your subscription. i subscribe to 7 warbird mags, & countless retail trade journals, & they are all affected by this scam. the f.b.i. should be clued in to this. it is blatant fraud, & i'd bet most publishers have no control of it.
