No Music - No Distracting Narration - Just Screaming Pistons In Full Stereo Sound
"Living Warbirds: Steel Warriors" puts you on the tarmac so you can see, hear, and feel the fierce power of these magnificent warbirds: the roar of the engines starting, closeups of the beautifully restored aircraft, takeoffs, multiple flybys, and landings.

Isn't that video of a 4 ship TBM formation flight taken off of YouTube? It seems to me I shot some identical video a few years ago.....
Just wondering.

No, all footage is original, shot in the last 9 months...

Very strange, because it looks like was shot in Frederick, MD in 2003 from the back of the Collings Foundation TBM on a Saturday morning formation flight with Terry Rush as lead, Gary Applebaum as number 2, Dave Tinker a number 3, and Chris Johnson as number 4. I must be getting old, because I don't remember flying the Collings TBM within the last 9 months...

*in my best Jon Lovitz*....come to think of it, I flew the Collings TBM just a couple of weeks ago...yeah...that's the ticket!

Gary, is right that 4 ship of TBM's was filmed at Fredrick, MD the year they introduced the "new" TBM that Stars and Stripes bought (yep the one that National Capital is now restoring). Was not involved with the flight but was on the line with the Lodestar and recognize the field and several of the background birds like Panchito and Briefing Time.

Rich-I'm sure I'm taking your post the wrong way...

All the footage of TBMs was shot in May 2009 in Chino, California. Everything was also shot in California.

The TBM video that Gary is talking about is not part of the trailer for the DVD, but one of the videos that is linked down the right side of the page. It is listed as TBM video #2. I was with Gary on his last flight in the CF TBM, and I can assure you that it was cold enough that day that it was more than a few weeks ago.

I certainly don't want to get into a peeing match with you, but the 4 ship TBM footage was taken from the YouTube account of amphib44. Anyone can go there and watch it. It would seem to me that if you're selling it as part of a DVD, you may be doing so without permission.

I think the TBM footage is just a link to the YouTube video, which YouTube allows people to do. The trailer for the DVD being sold doesn't include any TBM footage as far as I can tell.

I will be ordering some soon. I really like the no narration and no music on the videos. I personally think that warbirds make their own "music".

I'd like to vehimently disagree, but the Canadian Harvard Association's using Ozzy's "Crazy Train" during their show at Geneseo may have turned me off to music during airshow permanently.
