TBM-3 BuNo 69374 in storage for USS Midway Museum.

As far as I can tell only the location of this bird has changed since 06 05, but the great guys at North Island have been spitting out projects; the last few years, just look at the Midway! Thanks for letting me lose to the men of the USS Midway Restoration Team. More on the background aircraft tomorrow.

Nice shots thanks. Do you have any close-up shots of the Cutlass that is there (visible in the backround of your first photo)?

Wrong engine

The TBF had R-2600s - not that puny 9 cylinder... :-)

Are there 2 cutlasses there - I see a tail in the far back, and
a fuselage section closer. Same plane?

Midway has the remains of two F7Us.

1st. Sorry about the 1820 in the photos, supposed to be in the UH-34 carcass folder. I will remove ASAP.

2nd. I will get to the Cutlass's tonight (please read first post). And Gents there are the remains of three machines at the facility.

WOW! Now That's a playground! Lots of work for years to come. Do they do a full job on the birds for the Midway or just external "static" with no guts?

???

I wonder if they got the 2 A-7As and the T-34 that when at NTC??

No A-7s in the yard now, I believe one was present in 05 ( I'll check my photos)

The T-34 came from AMARG (perhaps not directly) I have photos of it in the AMARC RIT area from the entire span of my time at DM (97-02). It was not at the NAS North Island Facility in 05.
