Geneseo Air Show Roll Call

OK everyone... due to the generousity of our exhalted one, Scott Rose, I WILL be making it to Geneseo for the airshow! This is a very special year for me as Friday, July 10th exactly marks my 20th Anniversary of warbirds. July 10th, 1989 was the day that I started the first day of the 6th grade day camp program at the National Warplane Museum in Geneseo those many years ago... and to return to the place where it all started is going to be special for sure.

I want to make sure that, on Saturday, we all coordinate our schedules to do a full fledged group photo of WIX crew in attendance... and I need your help!

First off, sound off here... let all of us know you are coming and who is going to be in your caravan/planeavan :-)

Second, kindly send me an email at keough.ryan@gmail.com and pass me your cell number or some way to get in touch with you at the show... as a just in case. I'll send you mine as well. This way we all can find a way to distribute info as fast as possible. Let me know if it takes text messages and if you are comfortable with them.

Scott and I are planning to arrive early afternoon on Friday the 10th from Boston in his new WHITE Ford Mustang (I think we need to give it a Geneseo "dust and mud" blessing myself). Most likely we'll be hanging out at the field as usual until the dark hours and may even follow the Canadians to Club 41, if that is even still in the picture :-)

Kelly and I will be showing up around 11ish Friday.

Cool Ryan! 18 years ago this August I got my first ride in the B17 Sentimental Journey off the grass strip at Geneseo! It was truely awesome! We flew formation with Fuddy Duddy and Texas Raiders on that flight. I've flown with SJ so many other times, but that was the best! Wish I was going this year too! Have a great time!

The Mudges will be in sometime mid afternoon Friday. Won't be out to the field 'til Sat. AM though. (With our raingear. RATS!)

We got back from Binghamton on Sunday and will start pushing to set up the show tomorrow, so I will be there all day Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Also, I forgot to mention a few new aircraft that will be attending our show. The CWH PBY "Canso" Thursday afternoon, no official word yet on a Zero though. There are a couple more planes that may be coming, but I will post them when they are official :wink:

Chicken dinner, Tim’s warbird brew and plane talking. Woohoo!

I think we should try and set the record for how many WIX can fit in a Ford Mustang. I don’t think Fred will be there to do a high speed run down the runway in the Mustang.

What is the "Wives of WIX" group? All due respect, but I hope it's not just the wives getting together to do something (shopping/gabbing/etc.) whilst we're at the show. Mrs. Mudge WILL be at the show.

I'll be there Saturday with my Father and my oldest son.

among the warbirds I'll keep an eye out for you guys
and perhaps hook up.
