Are the last 2 digits a secret or would you like to know the history behind them?

The last six P-51A-1-NAs were Contract Numbers 99-22200 to 99-22205, all allocated USAAF serial numbers but delivered to the RAF.
Fron Jim Baugher's listings:

99-22200: 43-6097, to RAF as Mustang II FR904. Flew into ground during bad weather in Hampshire, England, Jan 2, 1945.
99-22201: 43-6098, to RAF as Mustang II FR905. Struck Off Charge Mar 30, 1946.
99-22202: 43-6099, to RAF as Mustang II FR906. Struck Off Charge Aug 11, 1945.
99-22203: 43-6100, to RAF as Mustang II FR907. Shot down by flak near Deventer, Holland, Nov 7, 1944.
99-22204: 43-6101, to RAF as Mustang II FR908. Struck Off Charge Mar 30, 1946.
99-22205: 43-6102, to RAF as Mustang II FR909. Struck Off Charge Mar 30, 1946.

All the best,

22257 is listed as the fourth-from-last in block P-51A-5-NA, not a -1-NA, on the page I was looking at, hence only posting the last six.

99-22257,
P-51A-5 43-6154:

The P51 dataplate is from North American and looks like the dataplate on the other 2 P51s that are here.Except it is made from something other than alunium. The P38 plate is an acceptance plate I guess because it does not say lockheed anywhere except in the type area and only says LO,will try to post photos later
