I always support both flying and static, but I hate seeing them on a pole. This is a great way to have a cool display, but not harm an actual aircraft.

Chuck
Are you in Western NY?

Tim, I think Chuck is at Geneseo for a few days helping out with American Barnstormers who are doing rides out of the field this weekend. I know Glenn mentioned that recently. However, I don’t think he is staying for the show next weekend.

Wow, that's pretty impressive how they got that thing up on the pole, by only strapping onto the ass-end of the fuselage!
Oh, and is that an OSHA approved forklift?

You think that's good Gary... you should see how the B-23 is going to be trucked up...
I heard it involves a few weather balloons, two Alpacas, a Chevy Love, a 1956 Farmall IH, four skateboards, and a Power Wheels "Bigfoot"...

You're gonna need a bigger truck.......

Couldn't tell from your post, but that
IS a way cool weather vane! The Hellcat will spin freely with the winds.

Don't be concerned, this is a pure fiberglas-Tallichet replica. No aircraft was sacrificed.

So this is just like a weather vane, Moves with the wind? I'll have to contact Mustangs Unlimited here at Mound MN. they make the large 6-7 ft A/C aviation weathervanes. Maybe they can build the larger sizes.
