See ya at Kingsbury... (Now with pictures!)

Just a quick reminder to our Texas group that Kingsbury is having their fly-in today. I think I'm going to make it for a brief L-5 showing.

Well, happily, all was well with the L-5 today, and I was able to make it out along with 3 other aircraft from the Alamo Liaison Squadron. We had a blast over at Kingsbury and really enjoyed the time. I got to meet Pogo from here on WIX and another fellow from the Liaison Aircraft Forum that I run.

Here are a few pictures from the day:

A fellow WIXer - who was overheard to tell his buddy in the vehicle "Uhoh, I'm about to get famous..." - the work you guys do out there is fabulous.

The Nieuport from the air - camouflage actually fairly effective in South Texas!

Hey Ryan, looks like it is so dry that your desert camo actually works! Looks about as HOT as I remember! Worked grounds at TLC down the road in Seguin for 3 summers!!! I don't put up with my kids whining about the heat or how hard the work is!!!!

Boy you really are old. TLC is now TLU. I'm old too, it was TLC when I was in school at the confused university 20 miles west. The one that changes their name every 5 years.

Don't I KNOW it! My son is headed out there in the fall!

Good luck, my son graduated in 2000, don't know when I'll get thru paying for it.

Good thing that they didn't have all those old aereoplanes out there when I was in school....I probably would have flunked out spending all my time bending wrenches getting greasy! Then again, I was bending wrenches and getting greasy trying to keep my VW camper running!
