Olympia Airshow this weekend. 19-21 June.

The Olympia Airshow is this coming weekend, 19-21 June. The Collings Foundation is in Seattle that same weekend and there is an airshow up at Boundary Bay airport in B.C. so we have some competition.
The B-25 "Pacific Prowler" will be at our airshow. The British Aviation Enthusist Society will be back in town for about the 10th time, buying rides in anything that flies. And we will also be enjoying the never ending support of the Cascade Warbirds. Check out the websites for more information.

We're flying up to Seattle from Oklahoma City early Wednesday morning and Kristine is going to ride down to Olympia with Bud in the Fouga. Gotta keep her interest up in warbirds so she'll let me keep playing with them!

I'm really surprised that nobody has commented on the T-6 landing accident yesterday afternoon! It's all I heard about this morning. I'd missed in as I wasn't there at the time, but a pilot friend of mine saw the T-6 just before it's "landing" and said the wings were at a 90 degree angle to the runway at one point. Several people I talked with after the incident said the airframe was badly tweeked.

Harvard MkII out of Idaho, and yes, it is badly tweeked. Luckily neither pilot or back-seater were badly injured.

I saw you take the jeep picture but I didn't know that was you. I still have a bunch of pics to sort through but i'll add some when I get a chance.

Notice how the smoke fills the cockpit in the Zero replica. That's a good indication of just how leaky the firewalls and cockpits are on some of these ol' airplanes.

I didn't notice that until I went through the pictures. Is the mask really tight enough to not inhale some of that smoke? Why not open the canopy?
