My family headed back to Oshkosh yesterday so I finally got some time to go through my pictures from the weekend. Enjoy!

Fantastic photos!

Love the P-47's new look.

Have Upupa Epops and Double Trouble 2 ever flown in formation? Just curious.

I doubt it. I think the only time she's left this area was Oshkosh 2005. that'd be a nice formation though!

Very nice pictures Al! I wish I would have been there! On a side note the 747 in the back ground is A/C 1419 the last 747-400!Image

These very fine photographs obviously show the aesthetic superiority of the natural aluminium finish for the warbirds which flew this way in WII.
"Upupa Epops" and "Tallahlassee Lassie" look like the real deal, other like pretty but modern replicas.

nice P-47 shots!

Thanks for posting those for those of us who couldn't be there.

PS...and hey...how'd you get a photo of Bud without a woman on his arm or a beer in his hand? ha ha ha.

Thanks. I actually have a ton of crap shots because I was shooting too slow. I think it was roughly around 1/320 for the flying and maybe 1/60 for taxi shots. They weren't really running them hard and I didn't want to freeze the props too much.

Thanks for posting those Al.

I have not seen Tallahassie Lassie before. Is that a recent restoration or a new paint job? If the latter... what was she before?

??
