Are there any places on the net that help out with information if I wanted to research the history of a specific WWII airframe. For example for N81Y, 1942 Beech AT-11, 42-37240. Some aircraft I need info on are not on the WIX registry. These 15 a/c are still with us.
This ties into the post I made a week or so on the 15 aircraft.
Thanks in advance!

Here is a link with pics of the NEXT AC off the line in training ww2, as close as I've found so far. Demming Army Air Field. Perhaps yours was not too far away.

Ive researched some good information so far. I guess my main question is there such a site to plug in a s/n or "N" number to get some sort of background history.

Searching Joe Baugher's site is always a good start. It's hit or miss, but there can sometimes be some good history for airframes there. At the least it will tell you what some of the sister ships in that production block were. In your case it's not necessarily helpful.
