I'll post an update on the main thread in the maint hanger later, but I thought you all might like to see what we were up to this weekend.
We removed the doghouse, canopy (s) and nose cowls before mounting the fuselage to the wing, so it is even further along than it looked this afternoon.

Certainly a significant milestone in getting this beauty back in the air. Well done to all involved. Can't wait to see her back in the air honouring all involved.

Thank you for the photos and for the link to Max's page, Bryan! I'm very anxious in being able to see it again in person - can't wait for that day to come! For tomorrow's event at Wahpeton, it would be great to see the Mustang parked alongside Miss Mitchell. Just heard the Harvard flyover my house a short time ago, likely headed up there.
To everyone involved in the restoration, it is truly remarkable work, especially given that it has only been five years! I unfortunately am not able to travel much because of work, else I would love to come up to Wahpeton for a visit. I do plan to be on hand when she arrives back at Fleming for the first time though - that I cannot miss.
