Down in New Zeland they have raised airshows to a all new level..

Das Acht-komma-acht Zentimeter

So now the poor warbirds have to avoid a 88m aiming at them :)

Ach du lieber Gott! Ein Flieger Abwehr Kanone!

 Though at airshow level flight, I would think a quad 20 would be more effective. After that has chased those pesky aerobatic planes to a higher altitude, the 88 can take over!! 8)

Those are some pretty big blanks they are firing!!!

Ryan, you going to circle in your L-Bird and shoot at it with a .45 or call in some serious iron?!? 16" Naval canon is always a good response to to those pesky 88's!! A radio can be a more dangerous thing than 6 50cals!

That would be something for the Blastards to do. Have a plastic 88 and then rig it to blow like it got hit by a 16-inch. :)

Of course, that could only be done at airshows that are within 30 miles of the beach (i.e., range of a properly sited battleship).

I reckon 105mm would be just fine. Easier on the budget, too. Don't need to be within 30 miles of the beach either.

Nice 88 there, needs some recoil though.
and yes, a quad 20mm would be more fun :)
