Wondering who ownd the -5 corsair with the Radome pod. I think I saw this one at Oshkosh a few years ago and was really impressed at how it was fitted out with stuff like guns, ammo belts, etc.

That was Dan McQue flying the Collins Foundations F4U-5 and it is beautiful... Besides doing acro in it, he also did a Legacy Flight with the F-18 Hornet... The entire show was awesome and for a good cause !!!

Here is another shot of the Corsair. When I arrived Sunday there were
2 Wildcats there. Seems to be quite a few in Florida right now.

Great Airshow for a really good cause.
The Cavanaugh crew flew the Wildcat, Skyraider and C-47 to the show on Thursday, with the Skyraider and C-47 stopping at Bessemer on the way to pick-up Alan and family to get them to the airshow. When we left Bessemer, we formed up with 3 of the Areoshell team for a bit of formation work.
Then on to Cecil-Field, with the C-47 making a few passes in formation with the 3 of the Aeroshell team. Quite an emotional site, especially when someone on the ground pointed out that Alan was once again in the air and leading the Aeroshell team in formation.
Mike Burke went and got one of Jims T-28s, and Jims other T-28 flew up from South Florida on the Saturday. When Bill Busch and Mike Gillian both arrived with their Wildcats, the spectators were able to see the fairly rare site of 3 airworthy Wildcats together (although only static for the airshow).
On Sunday evening, we all departed from the show for Sun N Fun as a 7 ship formation. C-47, with a T-28 on each wing, and a Skyraider in the slot, with a 3 ship Wildcat formation behind.

I thought I'd add on here in addition to my thanks to everyone that showed up to help this great cause my congratulations to everyone involved for being able to get $110,000 in donations for Alan and his family from this show. I just saw the announcement on the AVWEB Flash tonight, so all of you who participated and attended know that the entire aviation world knows of the great things you're doing to help Alan.

Great to see Denny Hickman in Scat VI. I remember when Alan gave Denny his first Mustang ride out at the Henley's farm. Alan went knife-edge between two trees in his Mustang, with Denny in the backseat! That was one of the most impressive flying displays I'd ever seen (no Feds were around, of course!).
