A Skyraider for Eric

Mon Apr 13, 2009 8:43 am

Greetings All -

I am continuing to scan slides, prints and negatives from my friend Fred Harl's photo collection and I recently scanned negatives from what appears to be a visit to NATTC Memphis. In looking up info on the AD-5W in the image, Joe Baugher's site has it listed as making it to the FAA registry as N37AM but the FAA lists that as the S-2 in the Cavanaugh collection. the WIX registry notes the history on this one but has no N number listed/noted:

http://www.warbirdregistry.org/a1regist ... 35152.html

I'm also including a look at the rest of the pile - oh how I wish I had one or more of the FJ-4 Furies....

Anyone know the status of and correct N number for 135152?

Enjoy the Day! Mark

Warbird Directory 4 lists N65164 for 135152.

(edit, looks like we posted at the same time) I June '02 she wore N65164. The late Hank Avery was gracious enough to allow my dear friend, Win, who is one of the highest-time AF A-1 pilots, to make a flight in her with pilot "Doc" Sinden. I got to ride in the "blue room" but we didn't have quite the time Brad had in another wide-body AD ...

When time permits I'll post some of the pix.
