Greetings All -
A nice flight shot of an RB-57B which is now in storage for the Udvar-Hazy Center per Joe Baugher's info. Also interesting to see both the airbrakes and the spoilers in action.
Seems certain aircraft attract cameras more so than most as I also have two B&W photos of the same aircraft while with the KSANG.
Enjoy the Day! Mark

Nice photo. Now, if only they would have put a proper bomb-bay in and a decent fixed canopy that could have been a halfway decent aeroplane!

Whatever happened to the Black Civilian B-57 that was at Oshkosh some years back (had the original British cockpit configuration on it).

There's one on the CAF ramp in Mesa, AZ that I was told belonged to an individual (can't remember who at the moment). If I recall, that one was black......but there was a second one across the field that supposedly belonged to the same fella...maybe that's the one I'm thinking of.

Didn't NASA have a black one with extended wings??
No, not the U-2, a B57 variant.

Didn't the spoilers (aka "dive fingers") extend on the bottom side of the wing also?
I don't think the moniker "Intruder" lasted very long, although it was popular among a certain faction in AF circles for a while.

The only NASA RB-57Fs that I have seen have either been silver, or white.

NMUSAF has both a B-57 and an RB-57 on display. THe RB came out of restoration in late 2004 I think.

The British version did, I have a scar on my head to prove it!
