And the B-58 my all time favorite.

I watched the SAC movie with Jimmy Stuart again (must be like 40 times by now) and counted about 14 seconds between nose gear and main gear rotation. How cool is that? I wonder how many seconds a fully loaded XC-99 would take?

:D

That is one of my all-time favorite movies (don't tell anyone that).., that is a funny seen.,. I think they had someone down below with a hand crank on that gear!!!

The music is quite inspirational as well!!!

the movie Strategic air command featured the B-47 strato jet not the B-58 hustler. or are you referring to the air force infomercial he did? wait is this an april first conundrum? :D

..oh and as a kid I saw some b-58s fly out of mtn home AFB.....that probably fueled my desire to fly...those things were pure sex!

What was the large aircraft that was parked at the beginning of the movie when the C-47 makes an emergency landing? The C-47 taxis past it and you only see it for a few seconds. I don't think I've ever seen that aircraft before, or if I did, I didn't recognize it.
