"Wings & Wheels Show" - Moorabbin Museum

The Australian National Aviation Museum hosts its annual "Wings & Wheels" Classic Car Show this weekend 4th & 5th April 2009.

Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th April, 10am to 5pm, at the museum, at the corner of First Street and Second Avenue, Moorabbin Airport, Melways 87 G 4
Held each Autumn, Wings & Wheels is the museum’s special annual event that celebrates the many links between aviation and automobiles. In this context, names like Rolls-Royce, Daimler-Benz and Bristol quickly come to mind, and there are many others with similar connections such as Renault, Fiat and Hispano-Suiza. Even Australia ’s very own Holden has had strong ties with aviation as GMH was heavily involved in the output of aircraft engines and components during World War Two. This is the basic premise of Wings &Wheels, but it covers a much wider field of the world of fine automobiles and related machinery.
Admittances (applicable to this weekend only): Adults $10; children, pensioners and students $5; Family $20.
Parking No problem at all; no meters, no time limits and no more than about 100 metres from the front entrance.
Disabled access There are no steps at all on the museum premises, only a few shallow ramps.
Refreshments Light refreshments, hot coffee and tea with biscuits or cake, cold drinks and confectionery are available.

Nice photos, but I don't think a 1910 car could have an American Liberty engine as original equipment.

Hello Randall, no the Lincoln's not quite ready to fly yet smiles, but we have been having some success in finding some more parts towards its eventual restoration.
When are we going to see that A-26 down south??

Exhaust shrouds.

Give us a call I think we have some Lincoln Exhaust shrouds up here at Oakey that you might be interested in.

I dont have any photos at the moment of the Lincoln parts we have located but they include:
4 Prop Hubs (acquired - awaiting recovery)
Top turret perspex (acquired - awaiting recovery)
tail leg - (offer of donation)
2 sets of main undercarriage (offered for purchase)
In addition we have recently been given permission to recover parts from the Canadian Lincoln SX924 wreck by CAPA, the RAF and now the Yukon Government, and are now exploring a survey trip to identify parts surviving and of interest.
