Warbird Depot April Desktop Calendars

The April 2009 Desktop Calendars are now available from the Warbird Depot website; http://www.warbirddepot.com/desktop_calendars.asp along with new Mobile Phone Wallpapers; http://www.warbirddepot.com/photo_mobile_wallpapers.asp.

This month includes:

1. Seen over Galveston, TX is Keith Hibbett flying the Lone Star Flight Museum’s Republic P-47D Thunderbolt “Tarheel Hal”, painted in the markings of Lt. “Ike” Davis of the 358th Fighter Group.
2. A rare formation taken at the 2008 Planes of Fame Airshow in Chino, CA. It includes Steve "Stevo" Hinton flying Bill "Tiger" Destefani’s highly modified N.A. P-51D Mustang “Strega”, Tony Banta in his N.A. P-51D Mustang "Kimberly Kaye" and Jim Thomas in Tony Banta's Curtiss P-40E Kittyhawk. This years Planes of Fame Airshow will be held on May 16-17 in Chino, CA.
3. Palm Springs Air Museum's rare Bell P-63A Kingcobra "Pretty Polly", being flown by Jim Dale, at the 2007 Planes of Fame Airshow in Chino, CA.
4. Jack Fedor flying the Warbirds Unlimited Foundation's North American B-25H "Barbie III" overhead Falcon Field in Mesa, AZ.
5. Lewis Shaw bringing his beautilfully restored N.A. P-51D Mustang in position behind the N.A. B-25J Mitchell photo plane at the 2007 Gathering of Mustangs and Legends in Columbus, OH.
6. Les Whittlesey's Lockheed 12A NC18906 landing at the 2009 Cactus Fly-In at Casa Grande, AZ. The Lockheed was this years Grand Champion.
7. Cliff Cummins' highly modified N.A. P-51D Mustang "Miss Candace" (S/N: 44-15651) at the 1973 Reno National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV. This Mustang is now owned by Jimmy Leeward and is being rebuilt by Dave Goss at GossHawk Unlimited Inc. in Casa Grande, AZ.
8. Bernie Vasquez flying the Jelly Belly Boeing B75-N1 Stearman during flypast at Eagles Nest airport in Ione, CA.
9. John Romain landing Historic Flying Ltd's Supermarine Spitfire FR Mk. XVIIIe SM845 at the 2008 Flying Legends Airshow in Duxford, England.
10. A rare formation take-off with Chuck Hall flying his N.A. P-51D Mustang "Six Shooter" and Steve Hinton in the Air Museum's N.A. F-86F-30 Sabre at the 2003 Planes of Fame Airshow in Chino, CA.
11. A Southwest Boeing 737-7H4, painted in a colorful "Sports Illustrated" livery, landing on runway 28R at San Francisco International Airport.
12. A USAF Thunderbirds General Dynamics F-16C "Fighting Falcon" solo pass at the 2005 Reno National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV.
