Things got HOT that afternoon in Waco.

I thought these pics were lost...I found the negatives this weekend...
Going to the airshow in Waco in 1987.
We sat on the ramp in Fort Worth for hours waiting on the weather...
Great flight down...
Once we got to Waco there was a hold because of an act or two going on..
so we buzzed Madison Cooper airport
...too much fun to take pics...

Then we landed at TSTI airport....
That's when it warmed up....
Number one caught fire just as we touched down!
I heard FIRE FIRE FIRE on the intercom...I was in the navigators seat..so I climbed into the cockpit and Doc was sitting in his seat...he said "get out the back, boy!"
The on-board fire bottles did their job..all safe...
The accessory section was toasted...
Ken says..dangit...
