A regional challenge...Update

Sat Feb 12, 2005 5:36 pm

Hi Guys,

I am so pleased with the interest, enthusiasm, and participation in the creation of a WIX cookbook to benefit Scott, and the Wardbird resource group. Please allow me to reiterate 100% of the profits go to Scott. If not for him none of us would have the opprotunity to read any of this!!

Ok, now for the challenge...... I challenge each of the regions I list below, (and if I forget any please let me know and I will very happily add it) To send me the most recipes...

For each individual in the winning region, I will create either a set of Warbird Business cards, customized to your choosing, or a set of personalized address labels with the Warbird picture of your choice.

The deadline will be April 30th. I will update regularly to let everyone know how their area is doing....

New England has 8
Scotland has 3
Australia has 7
Texas has 2
England......3
Utah.......1
California has 2

Have fun guys!
Karen

Well to be fair Rob,

It would certainly tip the scales enormously in the New Englanders favor considering how many recipes you have so kindly offered to contribute! :) I don't know if all these other guys can handle that kind of a challenge :?:

For the record Rob! I appreciate your help and generousity immensely! Thank you very much!!

Best wishes,
Karen

do these have to be "modern" recipes or can I use some from my grandmother's cookbook?

Sun Feb 13, 2005 7:48 am

Hi,

Oh yes, absolutely!!! Old family recipes are part of what make us as a particular culture, who we are. This is part of the reason I really want you all to participate. This board is so intricately tied to history, and I would love for it to reflect that....

Something I may not have mentioned....Please tell me the origin of the recipes you send, if it has one.....If it is just a great recipe you concocted yourself, then tell me that too.

One more thing, even if you don't plan to send me recipes for awhile, could you please let me know if you plan to submit any at all? Also, if you don't want to spend the time typing in recipes......photocopy them, and send them to my via the mail. I will type them in for you.

Thanks all!

Best wishes,
Karen

Mon Feb 14, 2005 3:07 pm

Hi,

Well, that can almost count, IF, when you take whatever out of the microwave to you "Dr." it up at all?? I.E. add hot sauce, or sour cream, or something unusual? We could fit that into a "quick and easy" category :)

Something to think about!

Thanks,
Karen

BTW, I noticed at the end of all your posts you thank, "Mike", if I may ask, who is Mike?

Mon Feb 14, 2005 7:16 pm
