B-24 at Duxford & TFC Friends Blog

This was posted on TFC Blog with a pretty cool video of a B-24 being assembled.

Is this the one at AAM ??? Seems like a different bird.

Obviously TFC is based at Hangar 2 , Duxford. Sometimes being involved in "our" aircraft it is easy to forget that a lot of other fascinating work goes on around the airfield.

So on one of those times that when we went for an explore we found some people sticking a B-24 together - literally. We thought you might like to see how it was done

Kinda looks like Dugan, the former Lackland bird. Anyone else have thoughts? If it's in the UK, it has to be that one or one of the ex-IAF birds that Tallichet brought out of India.

It says Dugan right on the side of the fuselage.

I wonder why they plit it apart ? Hangar change ?

It was taken apart to ship it from the USA and then restore.
