Hear is a few shots from Chino back in 1986
Ahh the poor old Super Corsair.
I’ve no idea who’s this one is
The poor old Helcat
I think that this is “No guts, no glory”
Going to Chino was like going to some sort of war bird Mecca. I had been reading about it for most of my life! I must go back.

If it was 1986 that would tie in with Bob Pond's P47 under going overhaul rather that TFC's No Guts No Glory.

The P-40 was the ex-Harrah's Auto Collection, restored to flyable condition by Bill Destefani.

The P-40 is now in AVG scheme and called "The Jacky C". It's with the American Airpower Museum now out of Republic field on Long Island. They purchased it back in 1996 or 97.

Thanks for the info, I shall update my files accordingly, whenI get one!
I had wondered about the P-47 because it turned up in the UK a suitable restoration time after my visit to Chino. But the reports of it being a combination of various aircraft made me doubt that this was it.
The P-40 was better than new that day. Lukily I had run out of drool by the time I got to it.
