MAAM WW2 Weekend 2009

Tue Jan 20, 2009 7:41 pm

I noticed that MAAM's WW2 Weekend roster for 2009 is up. Not much on it yet but it does say that the CAF Helldiver will be migrating north! I have yet to see it in person so that is enough for me.

Wonder if they have enough work for the SB2C to keep her in the North East for the Geneseo show in july!!!

I'll be there with the WWII aircraft radio display. I will be over in the encampment area with the Airmen's Preservation Society.

I've never seen the Helldiver either, so that should be cool 8)

It sure would be great if Ol'927 could come to the show too... (fingers crossed...) :D

The Helldiver should be a draw. It does not get up here NE much.

It would be nice too to see Tom Duffy's Spitfire, which was a much regretted no-show last year although he made up for it with other planes.

I can't think of any other Spitfires around Pennsylvania that we are all eager to see, can you? :)

I can think of one right off the bat - Jim Beasley's Mk XVIII !! It's just simply a BEAST!! But a beautiful beast!
