I need to find a T-6 in Western Oklahoma...

or anywhere else within a few hours drive. I need to take a bunch of measurements so I can figure out how to get one in a C-17. I've got all the manuals for the T-6 but this information isn't in there.

Why does one need to get in a C-17, and where is it coming from?

On new year's day, I was at a warbird fly-in in Muskogee and there were a few T-6s participating. I believe they were from the Tulsa area. Call the airport manager at Muskogee, he'll know who they were and where they were from.

Heck, there is a T-6 stabled at the Muskogee airport. A CAF plane I believe.

Brad is sneaking one out of a foreign country to bring it here in the U.S. to restore! :D

Don't ask any questions, and no one gets hurt! :D

I assume you've already talked to Brian, and the required measurements couldn't be be taken by someone else.

Brad, I can take any measurements you need on Saturday. Send me an e-mail.

The center section is 10' wide I think.

Brad,

I forgot to mention that I know another C-17 "load". He got his private licence though us, and still rents planes. I could try to get him to take the measurements, if that would help.

Brad-

tell me what measurements you need... I've got one in my back yard and it wouldn't take 5 minutes...

Brad-

There's a bunch of them here in Tulsa, if you want to come see them personally. PM me and I can hook you up, if you want to see them yourself.

Hi Brad, I hope this helps: The Handbook Erection and Maintenance T.O. 1T-6C-2 or Navy AN 01-60F-2 has everything you need. Page 4 figure 7 gives all the dimensions and page 13 figure 18 gives all the weights. It is a must have book and is for sale from Essco Aircraft Manuals & Supplies for$95.00. Their phone number is 888-249-4165 and they'll overnite it to you!!

Thanks yall. I think I have everything I need for right now. I went down to the VFM in Ft. Worth and measured the one on display. (Thanks Patrick and Steve).

If I come up with anything else I need, I'll probably be asking again!
