Peter Handley caught this great shot of Hawk 1 as Paul brings her home to Vintage Wings at Gatineau.

I FREAKIN' LOVE IT!!!!!!

Why must Abbotsford be so far off.

Wed Jan 14, 2009 2:18 pm

Hawk 1 does have a hot seat, one from a tutor was retrofitted.
Go to the Hawk 1 blog for some history.

Simply stunning! I hope I get a chance to see her in the air. Will she retain the scheme permanently, or is this just a temprorary thing?

Gorgeous!

I almost fell out of my chair!

Awesome pic I thought she was coming back in the spring?

Wed Jan 14, 2009 3:59 pm

Nope, plan was always for her to come back so the pilots can get some stick time. Last I heard is she will be flying from Ottawa rather than Gatineau during the training period as the emergency services are better. Chris Hatfield is scheduled to fly her at the first event at Baddeck on Feb 23. Then its out to Comox for practice with the Snowbirds as part of the centennial flight.

Glad to see her in the air again.
Many enjoyable experiences.

Keep 'er Flying!!

The guys in Cold Lake rolled out Hawk 1's mate in the Centennial flight, great job. The last will be the Tutor in the Golden Centenaire colours being done in Moose Jaw.
