In an effort to "know what the heck I am talking about" within the documentaries that will be included on THE COMPLETE STEVE CANYON ON TV Volume Three DVD, I am trying to find an example of THE BLUE ANGELS syndicated tv series from 1960 to view. I vaguely remember the show from when I was a kid (and I remember liking it a lot) but that's it. The show was produced by Sam Gallu who also made the tv series THE SILENT SERVICE (1957-1959) and NAVY LOG (1955-1958), and by the company California National Productions, who also made the tv series FLIGHT! (1958).
We are also trying to determine exactly WHICH episode of the submarine series THE SILENT SERVICE that Dean Fredericks (the star of STEVE CANYON) appeared in. At that time he would have appeared most likely under the name Norman Frederic, or less-likely his real name of Fred Foote. He mentioned in an interview in 1958 that he had appeared in the series, so we know he's in there somewhere. I should mention that a lot of the data on Dean Fredericks appearances that is on the Internet Movie Data Base (and just about ALL Steve Canyon data) was entered by me...i'm just sayin'.
Any leads or help is greatly appreciated.

I'd love to see that series on DVD!
Here's a link to some info on the show:

Thanks for the link, Jerry!
I'm poking in every possible direction to try and find an episode or three of THE BLUE ANGELS...we'll see what happens. I have examples of other shows for reference, such as Flight and others, just this one is being elusive.
I would love to restore and issue some of these series, like Navy Log, Ripcord, Man and the Challenge, Flight, The Silent Service...guess we'll see what the future holds. Certainly the sales of Steve Canyon will be a yardstick to convince the rights holders... unfortunately with the current economy things are...slow.
Anybody have any other images from The Blue Angels to share? There's gotta be at least a few publicity stills around.

I do remember a TV documentary with a clip or two of the show. I think it was either about the history of the Blue Angels or Airplanes in the movies and TV.
