Great Pictures ! By any chance did you visit the USS Laffey?
Her Capt used to be my backyard neighbor.

Nice shots, thanks for sharing them. Love the not one, but two, Hueys!

Nice selection of aircraft. Too bad they didn't shoot a coating of sealer over the Navy jets on deck - those with the standard low-vis grey paint schemes are already looking bad, and will really look awful after a couple of years.

Great Pics!
I was there a year or two-three back, and I loved the easy access to the planes up topside-great for taking detail photos. I did, however, accidentally kneel down on the deck-that thing gets hot!
What's with the tarp under the Phantom?

[quote="Brad"] Not much else to do warbird wise in town.
Brad; Congratulations on the wedding. How about a picture of my favorite "warbird" at Charleston? 52-1072, the C-124 that I turned quite a few wrenches on when it was at Dover.

Chief,
Even though my squadron was just a couple hundred yards from the C-124, in the five and a half years I was there I don't think I ever took a picture of it! That's sad, considering I drove past it everyday on the way out the back gate.

How did you get up there to check out the interior of the B-25?

Nobody was watching so I climbed up on the roof of the snackbar. I was done with the tour so it would have been worth it if I had gotten thrown out! I took some pictures through the waist window but they didn't come out. I didn't have time to take any more.

Chief,
There are fairly recent photos (2006) I took of 52-1072 in the Warbird Directory. I also worked on Charleston AFB from March 2005 to October 2006, and passed by her every day going to and coming from work.
She looks good.

Again thanks for the photos. I'll probably never get there! Couldn't quit tell but does the B-25 still have the tip tanks?
