Cool! How many of those actually kept the side plexi in place? Most pics I have seen don't seem to have it in place?!?

I've never seen a picture of the side plexiglass in place. Heck, I didn't even know it was ever there!

... and is that a B-24 or a B-17? I'm guessing B-24 only because the fuselage is more or less parallel to the ground....

That's a B-17
The large skin overlay is the wing fairing.

Definitely a B-17, with that much belly curve and the wing root fairing where it is, the B-24's wing was much higher and fuselage more slab sided.
