This Tu-95 was intercepted by a RN F-4K Phantom of the NAS 892, flown by a USN pilot on exchange tour, in 1973.

Back in the 1980s, I used to go to Burlington County College, in Pemberton, NJ. A nice place almost straight off the end of one of McGuire AFB's runways, displaced about 5 miles or so. I used to love class change between 2nd & 3rd class- I had to walk outside around 10:55, and almost without fail heard the beautiful sound of a pair of F-4's on their way to patrol of the east coast.

I used to love to look us, and watch them fly over.

I miss that- kinda like I miss living off Red Lion Airport, and the T-6 daily exercise...

Good times... Good times...
