Looking at Frasca's Spit, there must be nearly "zero" prop clearance when up on the mains.

It's not much on that Spit for sure.
With a 24D50 on a 51 it's a bit under 8 inches on the mains level. The Bearcat on takeoff will nail the tips if you use ANY forward stick past neutral.
I used to do a roll on takeoff in the Mustang that required some extra airspeed and holding the airplane down a bit longer than usual during the ground run. Aside from the light fuel load I carried when this was included in the routine, I always made sure the main gear struts were showing the right amount of clean metal during the preflight :-)
Even doing this, you don't want to get that stick too far forward.
The Bearcat is a 3 point takeoff. If you manage to get all the power in before it breaks ground you're about right in the Bear :-))
