Not mine, I believe that was Jim Dunn, I don't recall that Dave was on that shoot with us.

Ahh, the blunt nose B-17 with weight reduction programme done to the rear fuselage. Used for air racing I believe...
Wery nice photo actually. If you had moved an inch to the right it would have looked as though the rainbow emerged from the neon sign.

Are their any plans to restore the rest of that B-17 or will they just leave it up there?

Hey Jim, I know that the CF repaints the B-24 in different markings every so often, are there any plans on the next aircraft?

That plane has been a sore subject for B-17 fans for decades. The nose section was taken down and rebuilt but the project stopped there a long time ago. Who knows if anymore will ever be done with it. Strange that it looks like someone tried to shine up the skin on the aft fuselage and vertical stab.
Here's a link to the "Gas Station B-17" web site. I know money is a huge problem with this project...

Right now there are no plans that I know of to re-mark the B-24. If anything the B-17 needs painted, which they have been talking about doing for a couple years now. It will more than likely remain 909 when it is redone...but who knows? I would love to see "outhouse mouse"...I know there are tons of B-17's that could and should be done but right now the focus is on other projects. Should be an interesting year...hopefully the gas prices will remain...if anything I think we should invest in a tanker truck to follow us around.

Out House Mouse would be cool. I thought that at one time that the one that is now Liberty Belle was going to be marked that way. "909" is near and dear to my heart as I grew up on the Beaver County Airport.

Little Miss Mischief would be very cool! Certainly be a head turner!

That is a great tease for next year's tour . Many cool things on the horizon for CF.
