For your scoping and I imagine some photo criticism, I did the best I could without risk of being charged with trespassing.

Yeah,I saw that and nearly crapped my pants. The problem is, is what B-25 does it belong to. In another thread it was said that it was the C model pulled out of lake Murray SC but that aircraft is or was one display in Columbia SC. May have to drive there to verify. I am perplexed, as the center section I saw, well it looks like the mains were driven up through the skin, and the brakes appear to have been damaged by fire

That is the B-25 C center section from 41-12634 pulled from Lake Murray 2005.The wheels and brakes were eaten away by a weed control chemical that was put in the lake. Any thing magnesium was eaten away throughout the A/C.The one at Owens field 41-13285 crashed in June 6 1944, was pulled out in 1983. In all there were five to crash in the lake . Two on the same day April 4 1943. One was in 50 ft of water and was recovered buy the USAAF. The other one was 41-12634 at the Southern Museum of Flight

When were you there? Next time you go get them to let you in the restoration shop to see the rear fuselage of the B-25.

I would love to get in there. I was looking for a POC so I could make an appointment. I'd lo ve to look at that A26 and the Beech. Please flash me a contact if you have one via PM or email.
Thanks.

What are those two radial engines lying there? Are they Wright Turbo compounds and what are they off of? Carl

Carl' I just don't know. When I firdt saw them I thought maybe they came off a B-29 or something of that category. Sorry I don't have that answer.
