Nice photos Jack. Thanks.
I just finished reading "The Last Flight of Bomber 31" about the air war in the Aleutians. Very interesting and challenging theater of ops. Thought the story covers a lot of PV-1 action, B-25 & B-24 action is given it's due.
Great book if someone wants a little history of a forgotten area of WWII.

Is there a chance any of the above are C-models?

I wish they'd bring the NOVA episode based on "Bomber 31" out on dvd. It was pretty well done, even though far less detailed than the book, which is excellent indeed. And of course, that's our plane flying the reenactment shots (and one of our crew chiefs, Craig Heavener, playing the co-pilot).

The Aleutians campaign was just plain miserable for living conditions, and those poor guys were forgotten and ignored even while it was going on. Anything that helps tell their story and reminds people that there was a Pacific war apart from palm trees and coral, in my book, is a fine thing.

Thanks, Jack, for putting up these pics.

a very overlooked segment of the war, both on the ground & in the air. the bomber 31 book spoke volumes of what those guys endured.
