Great photos. Gotta love girls with guns...er... rivet guns.

Anyone have the photo of the Wichita production line transitioning from the B-47 to the B-52? Had a production line of each going parallel to each other down the length of the plant. Seen it in print 20 years ago but not since.

The 44-1535 B-29A in the second to the bottom photo is only one serial apart from 44-1536; the B-29 that was photographed 3-23-1945 when the left jackstand slipped, damaging the number 1, left outer wing panel, and bomb bay doors while still in the factory. See page 47 of Warbird Tech Series B-29 Superfortress.

Plant 2 in Seattle still is home to a B-17, the 'BOEING BEE' the late Bob Richardsons F (N 17F) that has been restored to factory fresh (except for the nose art)
