Greek Me 109 Recovery

Spotted this today on the "Fly Past " forum courtesy of Mr. N. Wotherspoon...

It seems the Hellenic Air Force Museum is at it again -- planning yet another underwater historic aircraft recovery. They've been busy lately, bringing up a Ju-52 and the remains of a Stuka in just the last few years.

If anyone knows or learns anything more, please post it here!

its a positive note, it takes mucho $ to raise a warbird I'm sure...amazing is its condition described...I wonder how deep of water its in....amazing to see saltwater recoveries that are in good shape!...keep up the good work,hopefully they will publisize it so we can see some pics...thanks for the news...

Worth checking the Hellenic Air Force website occasionally to see when info is posted on this one. It's in English as well as Greek!
