2 out of five for me. The B-36 and B-47. (Plus later models of the B-17 and service flights of B -29s and B-52s.)
Had an old wind up mantel clock that stopped whenever a B-36 from Fairchild AFB, Spokane, WA went over. Later when the base got B-52s, it ran just fine.
Saw a formation of 13 B-29s at an airshow at the base. First anniversary of the AF, 1948. I was 11
Some day I'll get up enough nerve to ask a question about pingpong balls and a P-80!! Maybe post a description of the show as well. Live ammo, C-47 burning---- won't see that stuff now.

Tex Layton, who was a P-47 mechanic during WWII started the charge on this aircraft and now we have a great team working it. This is the same team that cranked out or LT-6, which won Judges Choice at Sun and Fun. Every time I come to the hanger there is a team of people working on the airplane.

Well...you mean to say that I'm a few a/c up on some of youse troops.
I've seen the B-36, the B-47, and the B-58 fly. Also seen the B-58 on a radar scope, doing sub-sonic and super-sonic weapons pod drops at Alamagordo. That thing was awesome
Also tracked something out of Edwards at around 2400 mph one day.
Have no idea what it was but every radar site in the western half of the 34th Air Division sector, (ABQ) tracked it. And that was in the late '50s
So har-de-har-har.
