Anyone know of Bob Gardner - darn Yankee Air Force (c1960s)?

I'm trying to find out more about Robert Gardner and his 'darn Yankee Air Force' collection. He was around as far back as the 1960's and was based around the Hartford, Connecticut area (Corsair territory). 8)

I haven't been able to find a lot of info on him and thought one of you guys might recall the man. Thanks!
