In the top photo the chap in the bottom row center (on O'Hare's right) is the VF-6 XO LT George "Red" Bullard later shot down at Truk and captured. In the early 60s he was the CO of the USS Bon Homme Richard. My step-dad that he was outstanding in all respects!

Bottom photo of the set I uploaded in front of Hellcat "32" is Bullard's flight. Among those in that picture is Alex Vraciu. He is in second row 4th over from left.
