Easy and Fun Solution for CAF

Wed Oct 22, 2008 12:50 pm

I've got it, why didn't I think of this before? There are at least 2 versions of an easy and fun solution to the question of the dispute between the CAF and them darn yankees (not the good guys at Detroit) over the twin Mustang P-82.

Now both states, Texas and Ohio, home of NMUSAF like their college football and usually have good teams and have each had national champions. So how about a championship game, winner takes the airplane? It can either be the current teams, Texas Longhorns vs Ohio State or we could have an all star college or even high school team from each state. It can be after the season, gives those guys a good excuse not to study or it can be in a few weeks. U T has two tough games with OK State and Tech, before a breather against Baylor. I like Baylor, I like Waco and I can do without seeing the Horns beating up on them again. So they could take that bye week to earn us an airplane, and let the Bears alone. Texas would be favored over Ohio State, I think, but if we want it more sure let's make it a high school all star game. I'll take Texas over any northern state, probably any at all except maybe Florida or California.

I don't know Bill, besides Texas I would have to say Ohio has the next best High School Football teams, but I do like the Idea.
Or how bout an arm wrestling match between a Texas Senator and an Ohio Senator, state gets to choose the opponents Senator.

I like that idea better - only, better make sure you get those .50s working on all the Rebel aircraft first. You might even get some other groups and organizations to confederate with you.

Mudge, even a guy that thinks a fighter should have 2 engines and Allisons are better than Merlins, can't be wrong all the time. So don't worry about agreeing with me this once.

....and if we could get all our lawsuits settled with pistols at 20 paces.....we might not have that many lawyers after a while! That'd be a good start!

Then we get a tough, young broad and I'll be happy to take that chance. :drink3:

Mudge the worried :(

ps...Why do so many people talk like the tough old guy is gonna' die on Jan. 21st :?:
I'm older than he is and I plan on being around for about another 41 years. The reason being, my mother always told me to respect my elders. I want to live long enough so that I don't have to respect anybody.

Well, I certainly don't wish anything bad on the old man and here's hoping Mudge graces us with presence on here for many decades to come!

I think they should settle this like King Solomon.

Cut the P-82 in half and each party gets a P-41.

And they would each do an opposing roll, really, really fast !

Well, thank you, kindly. All I really want is a roof over my head and my own rockin' chair by the fire. (With apologies to Mose Harper aka Hank Worden.)

Mudge the ancient :P
