No Waco, TX airshow this year??

Wed Oct 22, 2008 9:48 am

So what happened to the Waco, TX airshow this year at the TSTC Airport? I've been looking for information about it on-line and haven't been able to find anything. At airshowbuzz I just found it says cancelled?? Anyone know for sure what's up?

I would hate to think that it's not going to happen this year...

Due to the failure of the #2 engine on the "Spirit of Waco" and the associated cost and other factors, the Squadron chose not to hold a show this year to concentrate on other things.

That's a shame, I didn't know that about "Spirit". Thanks for the info.

Maybe I'll hit the Historic Aviation Memorial Museum in Tyler or the FAC Museum in Ft. Worth that weekend instead... I don't want to let my grandson down with the airshow being cancelled and not seeing any planes that weekend :)

The Cavanaugh Flight Museum will be having a Veterans Day event focusing on Vietnam Vets. It will include a symposium on the Sea Wolves.

Why don't you come down to Lackland's Airfest on the 1st of November. It's a free show.
