This Saturday Oct 18, The Cavanaugh Flight Museum will be celebrating it's 15th Anniversary. It's free admission to WIXERS (and everyone else) 
Not a big airshow or anything, just a thanks to the locals. Ya'll come.

15 years, man how time flies. The museum has many fine planes on display, a good gift shop, and best of all they offer and do a lot of warbird rides. The only real problems are that Addison is a very busy airport and it woudl be hard to keep your mind on business with all those lovely calender models around.

I was just there for three days . Didn;t see even one of Doug's lovelies ! I think he was holdin' out on us.

They work in the gift shop where you would have to come in the front door and BUY something to see them.

If cozmo is related to a famous UK soccer player, we did let him....and I had the pleasure of speaking with cozmo for several minutes.

Yep, didn't work. They did say there would be something in November.
It was a "spur of the moment thing." Had to take my daughter to the doctor (nothing drastic, just allergies), and Talked wife and daughter into going because it was free. We went in anyway, they love me and indulged me. Daughter got to look at the bullet holes in the C-7 and an airplane shaped cookie. I got a better look at the Skyhawk. Wife got us to help with laundry. All in all, a very good day.

Nope, no famous UK soccer players in the tree that I know of, wasn't me.
Not a pilot, or aircraft mechanic, I just like big old machines. Though I do have Glenn Curtiss in the family tree, the rest of my family likes him more for his motorcycles than his aircraft.

Well darn! I wish I had know about it sooner. We went to pick my son up in Arlington to spend the day with him on Saturday. He had just flown in from Yakota AB, Japan where he had just out-processed from that duty station after being deployed to the Gulf for 4 months. that would have been a great place to have spent the day wondering around.
