This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Hi everyone,
With the talk of a potentially recoverable A-20 in Newfoundland, I decided to check out the A-20's listed on the warbird registry. I came across 44-0020. It mentioned that it was being restored to fly by 2003.
Maybe I missed it, but I don't remember hearing anything about this plane on the airshow circuit anywhere. What's going on with the project? I hope nothing tragic has happened.

This aircraft belonged to David Tallichet and was being restored in Beaver Falls, PA. I visited the Beaver Falls site in December of 2006 and and noted that although progress was being made it was along ways away from a first flight. The last I heard is that the aircraft had been moved to Genesco, NY.
Looking for feedback too on its current status.

It is sitting in a hanger at Geneseo waiting for word on its fate. It does not appear any work it being done on it.
I think most everyone is waiting for the estate to be settled and see what will be the fate of all his aircraft. I'd think that would be BIG news here on WIX. I hope it is good news.

Hope the Tallichet group decides to set up shop in Geneseo. I think it would be a great place for them.

I really hope things get all settled out and work can begin again on quite an awesome airplane.
Thanks for letting me know what's going on with it.
Cheers,
David
