Its an Interstate Cadet painted in West Coast Markings representing an XL-6. Looks like the privately owned one that flys with the ALS in San Antonio. (Ryan ?) Can't miss that tall Interstate tail. Gotta wonder about those markings. Did we think they were going to write "Nip" on the side of theirs?

If that's the same bird I've flown in it's markings have been updated.

Here's a recent photo of the privately-owned Cadet at our field.

I'll check into this further. Also get something better organized for you on the US marking - of no one beats me to it!

This one was photographed at the Denton, TX/CAF airshow in 1983...if that helps. I think there is another picture of it from the front...I'll see if I can post it tomorrow.

That looks like the one from ALS. I may have flown it to Denton that year. The stripes and logos were added when Stan Pennington bought it.
