Greetings all,

I need few sharp images of J version of Liberator. Images have to present nose and canopy and I need it for review of painting mask on my web site. Could any of you provide this material?

Cheers,

Srecko

Which kit is the mask set for? I assume you need pics of a consolidated-built B-24J..I think those are the only kits available.

This is mask for Hasegawa B-24J in 1/72 scale and any image of the transparent area on real airplane would be welcome.

Cheers :P

Yes. The B-24D is of course at the NMUSAF, but the canopy is identical to teh J. The B-24J is the ex-Indian AF example in the Pima Air and Space Museum.

Are you using the pictures for personal reference, or publication? I've probably got some better shots in various books that I could scan, but I'm concerned about copyright issues (I don't care if you use my shots.)

I picked up both the Hasegawa B-24D and B-24J at this year's IPMS USA National Convention. Together they cost me just over $100 USD  but the Liberator is my favorite American bomber. The kits are by far the best ever of the B-24, although Hasegawa had to make some compromises (particularly on the D) to get the most variants out of the fewest molds.

Here's another shot of the Strawberry Bitch. I'm planning another visit to the museum next month..and plan to get a bunch of comprehensive detail shots.

Thats why I need images. Kevin Gray provide me outstanding help in some of very nice archive images and they could be very good reference for modelers.

Thank you Kevin :P
