Hey guys i see on TV the Russians have been over flying the US in the new bombers undetected for Months.And the they are now parked somewhere in south america.A Mean looking thing i hope they bring one down here for the Avalon air show.Do you recon it's a copy of the Concors.

The TU-160's? I believe they have been around for quite a while now. (Since the 80's).

They are similar to the B-1 in appearance.

Well, for starters, the Russians do not officially have stealth bombers yet. Since you mentioned South America, I suspect that you're referring to the TU-160 BLACKJACKs that recently landed in Venezuela. They WERE detected, and in fact followed by NATO fighters. Apparently some Russian vessels are also participating.
This is apparently part of the promised Russian response to the US treatment of the situation in Georgia.

There are Russian Tu-160s deployed in Venezuela. They're not "stealth" bombers. They have not been "flying in the US undetected for months".

Any references for your last two statements?

On another topic, Tu-95s have been flying their typical "Cold War" patrols out over international airspace, and being intercepted by US and NATO fighters.

The two things -- deployment of TU-160s and airspace prods by TU-95s -- are unrelated.

A violation of US soverign airspace by a bomber would be a BIG, BIG deal.

I have hear that the Tu-95 Bears have been doing their old "Cold War" routes along the arctic route. And while the Russians don't have a "stealth fight or bomber" It is HIGHLY doubtful that they are doing undetected flights over US soil. It would seem to me that the second they were detected, they would have US fighter escort along their path for however long it was over US soil.

By the way the the Tu-160 Blackjack looks like a direct copy of a B-1 only a touch bigger.

It's not even close to a copy of the B-1, tho the layout is similar & more capable. And it's more than a 'touch' bigger. The Blackjack is about the size of a B-52, especially with wings swept forward.

If they overfly the US without a flight plan and permission, they better get SHOT DOWN in the way the Russians would do to one of ours flying over without permission.

As I said, I'm making no judgment on the validity of the source. Just suggesting where they might have arrived at the conclusion that such an incursion had taken place.

Still, the mere presence of the Tu-160 at a military base in our hemisphere doesn't say good things about the direction of our relationship with Russia.

As I know in Soviet Union was developed stealth cruise missile, not bombers. Few years ago they are succesfully tested active energy shield which resulted in stelth appearance and that was used on stndard fighter plane [much writtings was on my forum in Serbia where I am moderator].

The similarity is pretty much universally agreed to be a coincedence, as a result of both aircraft being designed for the same role.
