Honestly, who needs porrnn when you have pictures like that???

On another note, I thought Steve Hinton Jr. was left-seating on Strega, but it appears in the pictures that the Tiger flies again?

Thanks for that link.

Sure hope that winds up on youtube. The sight is great, but what I enjoy even more about the Tigercat is the SOUND at speed...makes the shorthairs stand up on the back of my neck.

Thank you for pointing out the link. With all of the gatherings of warbird types in recent years, who would have thought that a gathering of Tigercats would be such an amazing sight to behold? I'd imagine that there should be a congratulations and thanks all around to the owners, the mechanics, and the pilots for having the foresight and ability to get them together like this. I'm looking forward to hopefully more to come. :D

Hi Guys,

I gotta second that one. Not often enough when you get a sexy looking trio like that in on spot at the same , let alone FLYING together.

Tigercats

I don't know much about Tigercats, but I can't see the attraction. I don't know of any real history associated with them, but maybe there is some. As a civilian plane, I don't know why anyone would want a big plane that has to have two engines yet only has room for one pilot. As for the one that did race at Reno, it sure wasn't very fast or competitive. I guess looks are a matter of taste, but to me it looks as if they took a fuselage intended for one plane and added a wing and engines intended for another, sort of out of proportion.

It's a big two seat warbird that absolutely hauls butt for it's size. He has outrun plenty of stock, and slightly modded Mustangs at Reno over the year swith it. Between, the looks, sound, and LOW line he flies, it is hands down the coolest plane at Reno year in and year out. If someone offered me a TF-51, or the Tigercat.....Tigercat ANY day.

The Tigercat is truly a fan favorite - for good reason.

The size and the sound of that massive machine running the pylons is amazing.

We thank Mike Brown every year for bringing Big Bossman.

And, not everyone wins. If only potential gold winners show up each year - it'll be a pretty boring week.

That is some cool stuff.

it was great.except...

that they were all parked in front of the grand stands before the flight and there was a complete ZOO of people out there taking pics. Why is that a problem you ask? well because after 5 PM it is no longer under race waivers and there were a lot of people walking around on an active airfield much to the dismay of the FAA..it was a nightmare trying to keep them from being in harms way....yeah yeah I know you know everything about airport ops and safety and blah blah. I saw a woman lose an arm at a fly in because of stupidity from both the pilot and the civilian.
