Many of you know of my JV Hockey player who was injured early this summer.
We have a couple of Benefits for Ben and his family this month.
Jim has been gracious and has thrown in a few rides for the auctions.
I am currently working on having bids for the P-51 ride in Bald Eagle be by mail as well as the silent auction at the Golf Outing Dinner on Sept 29th.
I should be able to confirm this over the weekend.
The planned process is that the bid by e-mail or snail mail be placed prior to the 29th. These will be compiled and kept with the silent auction bids.
If anyone expresses interest, I will provide my phone number and I will be your proxy if you wish to keep pace with the silent auction bids.
The ride date will be arranged with the winning bidder so if you win the bidding, you can plan out a trip to the Philly area for the flight.
There will also be a SNJ/T-6 ride auctioned at both the BENefit Dinner on the 14th and the Golf Outing on the 29th.
The benstear.org site has some info.

Folks,
Starting next week, 9/15, e-mail bids for a flight in Bald Eagle will start.
The bidding will end on the 9/29 with a selection of the winning bid at the Golf Outing Dinner in Jaminson PA. Bids at the Golf Outing will be accepted as well.
This is all to benefit Ben Stear, who was injured June 14th in a Hockey Game. He is currently at the Shriners Hospital in Philly looking forward to being discharged at the end of the month.
Info will be available on benstear.org.
Thanks,
Rich

P-51 Flight with Jim Beasley is still at $300 with no bids.
Here is your chance to ride in a Mustang.
I know there is a lot going on in the world. This flight benefits Ben who is now in a wheelchair after breaking his neck in a hockey game.
Info is at benstear.org where you click on the auction button.
Thanks,
Rich

Along with the ride you will get a model of the p-51B Bald Eagle, a cool memory book and a certificate.
The certificate looks like this-
The memory book has a look of the pilots manual-

That's a pretty neat flyer Rich! It's a shame no one has gotten the flight yet :/ $300 in the Mustang seems like the lowest Mustang ride price I'd ever seen.

Is there any kind of time limit during which the winner must take the flight, such as an expiration date? (i.e., "Good for one year from date of award", or some such limitation). I grew up in northern Delaware, about halfway between Wilmington and Newark. Coatesville is just a short drive north. My best friend in college lived there. My in-laws still live near Newark and we occasionally fly up to visit them. In fact, we will be there the weekend of 09/26 through 09/28. I am thinking of tossing in a bid. The problem is that I don't know when I'll be back in the area again.
Cheers!

I don't have a problem with that.
It will just be a scheduling deal between your being in the area, maint and pilot availability. And also the weather.
We will work with you.

We have a bid!
Vlado, remember it is a ride, not rent a 'tang!
We will have to limit fuel as a mutiny might need to be considered. After all we take off to the west usually and Illinois isn't that far away from PA.
I most sincerely appreciate your generosity.
