There is a discussion of this pic on one of the modeling forums. Someone had claimed it was a missile, but it's actually an airliner in the MD-80 family. If you look closely, you can just make out the wings and empanage, which blend into the background. Also, missiles generally don't leave dual contrails.
Still a cool pic, though. There are a bunch of Google Earth images of aircraft in flight..I did a search and found four or five in my state alone.

Yeah, they're painted dark is all. I would never have though t about lloking for em, but there you go!

If you look at its 1 o'clock, you can even distinguish its shadow on the ground !

Have y'all seen the Google Earth flight simulator feature? I stumbled across that sucker a couple days ago ... WOW.
