Warbird Depot September Desktop Calendars

The September 2008 Desktop Calendars are now available from the Warbird Depot website; http://www.warbirddepot.com/desktop_calendars.asp

This month includes:

1. Mike Brown's Hawker Sea Fury FB.11 "September Fury" (Race 232) unlimited air racer, being test flown by Dennis Sanders, over Eagles Nest airport in Ione, CA. September Fury, along with others, will be racing at the 2008 National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV. on September 10 - 14, 2008.

2. Nathan Davis's Midwest Texan Signature Restoration N.A. AT-6G Texan, being flown by Tim Savage with Greg Muir in the back seat, over Huntington, IN.

3. Bob Button flying his N.A. P-51D Mustang "Voodoo" (Race 5) overhead Yolo County Airport west of Sacramento, CA.

4. The Fighter Collection's rare Bell P-39Q Airacobra "Brooklyn Bum-2nd" taking off at the 2008 Flying Legends Airshow at Duxford Airfield, U.K.

5. Ellsworth Getchell flying his Centaurus powered Hawker Sea Fury FB.11, with the Sanders family's Wright R-3350 powered Hawker Sea Fury FB.11 "Argonaut", being flown by Mark Watt, at the 2008 Thunder in the Sky Airshow in Auburn, CA.

6. The Historic Aircraft Collection's rare Hawker Nimrod II, being flown by Howard Cook, during the 2008 Flying Legends Airshow at Duxford Airfield, U.K.

7. Ray Dieckman landing in Robin Crandall's Hawker Sea Fury FB.11 "Southern Cross" (Race 71) at EAA AirVenture 2008 in Oshkosh, WI. This warbird is now named "Sawbones" and will be racing at the 2008 National Championship Air Races.

8. Tom Camp demonstrating his Grumman FM-2 Wildcat "Air Biscuit" at the 2008 Planes of Fame Airshow in Chino, CA.

9. Dan Martin taxiing out for some practice laps in Greg Costo's North American P-51D Mustang "Dago Red" (Race 4) during the 2008 Pylon Racing Seminar in Reno, NV.

10. Jeffrey Lo rounding a pylon in his highly modified Pitts LR1 "Miss Gianna" (Race 13) on his way to a first place finish, at a average speed of 233.470 mph, in the Biplane Class Gold race at the 2007 Reno National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV.

11. Langley AFB, VA based Lockheed Martin F-22A Raptor taking off at EAA AirVenture 2008 in Oshkosh, WI.

12. Tom A. Dwelle rounding pylon #2 in his N.A. Harvard Mk. II "Tinkertoy" (Race 7) on his way to a first place finish, at a average speed of 225.774 mph, in the T-6 Class Silver race at the 2007 Reno National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV.
